A former drug dealer, Jackson rose to prominence after being discovered by Eminem and releasing his first major album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2003. He also found his Curtis James Jackson III was born and brought up in the poor South Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, New York. Jackson never knew his father. His mother Sabrina was 15 at the time of his birth in 1975.
