Puneeth Rajkumar
Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar’s birth heralded the initiation of their family production house. He faced the camera when he was barely a few months old and enshrined himself in the hearts of Kannadigas as a versatile child actor in 14 movies spanning as many years.Immediately after that, he indulged in the nuances of production, distribution and exhibition of movies and also produced TV serials with his brother Raghavendra Rajkumar. His very first movie ‘Appu’ as a hero unleashed a new wave in the Kannada film industry in 2002, after which his array of hits broke records. He also successfully gave playback for many movies, played the perfect host for the Kannada adaptation of ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’ and other shows, initiated his own dubbing and editing suites and established PRK Productions (named after his mother) along with his wife, Ashwini and produced many movies that fleshed out local talents and brought them to the fore. Ashwini is now ably carrying forward their vision of providing a competent platform for existing and fresh talent. He also quietly indulged in philanthropy to reach people in all spheres.
